Christians in Abia State yesterday, joined their counterpart all over the world in a special Easter Sunday church service to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In most churches visited by Correspondent Godwin Ike in Umuahia the state capital, buckets of running water and hand Sanitizers were placed in front of the churches for worshippers to wash their hands before gaining access into the church while the worshippers were equally seen sitting 1.5 to 2 metres apart from each other online with the social distancing protocol.
Although some churches located out of in villages defied Governments directives by entertaining more than fifty persons in the service.
Meanwhile, the Easter service which rekindled the Christians faith and hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, also provided them the opportunity to seek the face of God over the Coronavirus pandemic ravaging the world through prayers, praise and thanksgiving.
