Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has described the sudden death of the Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Solomon Ogunji as a deep personal loss, describing him as his best friend.
The Governor who made this known through a release by his Chief Press Secretary, Onyebuchi Ememanka, said his friendship with the late commissioner has remained since his 13th birthday.
He described the Late Dr. Ogunji as strong, brave, courageous, well educated, defiant, straight forward and someone always prepared to go the extra mile in protecting the mandate and whatever assignments given to him by the Government.
The Governor recalled the role he played in securing the World Bank approval for the reconstruction of Ngwa Road, Port Harcourt Road, Uratta Road, Obohia and Ohanku Roads and assured that he would do everything possible to ensure that the reconstruction works on those roads are pursued to their logical conclusions.
He prayed God to accept his soul and comfort his family and all those he left behind.
