Nigerian Army again reassures North east residents of adequate security


The Nigerian Army has again reassured the residents of the North eastern region of security of their lives and property in its quest to end the Boko Haram insurgency among other security challenges.

Commander 2 Operation Lafia Dole, Major General Suleiman Idris gave the assurance at the Nigerian army social activities in Damaturu Yobe state.

According to the commander, the event is meant to strengthen social relationships among officers, soldiers and their families as well as host communities through displays of musical performances and other regimental activities.

Major General Idris believes that social interaction can also serve as an avenue of trauma healing for the frontline troops.
