Imo state: Abia state chapter of PDP express dissatisfaction over Supreme Court judgment


Abia state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, has expressed dissatisfaction over the judgment by the Supreme Court of Nigeria which proclaimed Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress winner, and removed Emeka Ihedioha of the PDP as Governor of Imo State.

Speaking to newsmen at the party secretariat while on a peaceful protest, the PDP state Chairman, Johnson Onuigbo said all they want is for the Supreme Court to reverse the judgment saying it is a denial of the people’s right.

According to them, what happened in Imo State last week was a threat to democracy.

Our Correspondent Nnenna Gabriel reports that the peaceful protesters who marched along the streets of Umuahia on Sunday, had placards which read; ‘’can a tyrant leader allow justice to thrive?,
‘’Return the will of Imo people, save Nigeria from shame and international embarrassment’’, ‘’Judiciary, stop being coward by President Buhari among others.
