Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has won the governorship election in Abia State, polling 261,127.
Okezie, the PDP governorship candidate, got more votes than his closest challenger, Uche Ogah of the APC who polled 99,754.
The announcement was led by the state’s Returning Officer Prof Benjamin Ozurumba.
Okezie, a former lecturer, was first elected governor in 2015.
In that election, he defeated the APGA Candidate, Alex Otti, who polled 64,366.
