Abia state governor Okezie Ikpeazu has charged the Batch ‘’B’’, Stream 11 corps members posted in the state, to always exhibit the spirit of communal service and humility which is the main thrust of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.
The governor who stated this during the closing ceremony of the orientation course and terminal parade of the 2019 Batch “B” Stream 11 held at NYSC Orientation Camp Umunna, Bende local government area encouraged them to interact and integrate with their host communities as well as respect the culture and tradition of the people
Represented by Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barr. Chris Ezem congratulated them for answering the clarion call, stating that they are now equipped with the needed training to serve the Nation.
Dr Ikpeazu commended the acts exhibited throughout the duration of the orientation course as it has marked them out for success.
He also assured that his administration would continue to give the necessary support, care and encouragement needed for corps members posted to the state serve effectively in their places of primary assignment, promising to reward and appreciate outstanding corps members who embark on life touching projects in the communities.
