Hundreds of youths yesterday staged a peaceful march in Abuja to protest against the alleged corruption at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The protest was by the sidelines of the corruption case at the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, where Justice Ifeoma Ojukwu issued a bench warrant for the arrest of top of NFF Officials after they again failed to appear before her today.

The protesters displayed placards and banners at the corridors of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, the Federal High Court as well as the Federal Ministry of Justice.

Some of the inscriptions on the placards read: ‘Corrupt NFF Must Go!’, ’Please President Buhari Save Our Football & Youths’, ’ NFF House of Corruption Buhari Must Act’ and ‘Nigeria Football Under Chains Under Amaju Pinnick’.

He alleged that in five years Pinnick and his top officials have siphoned over 16.5 million Dollars meant for the development of football in the country to their own pockets, citing various instances of this embezzlement.
