Urhobo Youths in Delta state ask FG to address the social economic failures of their communities

Urhobo Youths in Delta state have asked the federal government to address the social economic failures and neglect of their communities, threatening to shut down all oil installations and production in Urhobo land.

The group in a 10 point demand list insist they will join their Ijaw and Ishekiri brothers in the Oil and Gas host communities in the struggle against plans to deny them the benefits from what they described as their God given natural resources.

They also asked the federal government to suspend its plan to divert gas to Ajaokuta, Abuja, Kaduna, Kano and the Niger Republic, until all host communities are guaranteed regular power supply and world class infrastructure.

Also speaking the Deputy President of the association, Atiti Ogheneovo laments the gory state of infrastructure and social welfare in the Niger Delta.
