Unknown gunmen have abducted a Catholic Priest, Rev. Prof. Izu Marcell Onyeocha at Ihube Community in Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State.
It was gathered that the gunmen invaded the community early hours of Sunday, shot sporadically, before whisking the priest to an unknown destination.
Rev. Prof. Izu Marcell is also a lecturer at Imo State University in Owerri.
He is a native of Avuru Community in Ikeduru Local Government Area of the state.
When contacted, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Orlando Godson Ikeokwu told newsmen that some members of the community were in the station to report the incident.
