The agitation of the indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), is appropriate – Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu

Abia state Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu says the agitation of the indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB), is appropriate and can be addressed without boxing Igbo people into a narrow and separate geographical entity.

Ikpeazu made the disclosure while speaking with the State House correspondents after a meeting with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in Abuja on Tuesday; maintaining that forming a separate country will not be in the best interest of the Igbo nation as a people who travel far and wide.

He opined that there were enough reasons to see that it might not be Eldorado yet; but there were concerted efforts and attempts to make the South East a better place.

Gov. Ikpeazu went on to say that agitations against marginalization, infrastructural deficiency, are germane and could be discussed, spoken about and ultimately addressed.

Responding to the assertion that IPOB agitation was the result of leadership failure in the region, the Governor added that such were supposed to be investigated by investigative agencies.
