The Chairman of the South East Governors Forum and Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief David Umahi, on Sunday said the governors of the zone are prepared to fight against the IPOB sit-at-home order, describing it as devilish and foolish.
Umahi lamented that the sit-at-home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, if not stopped by the five governors of the zone will cripple economic development and pursue investors from the region.
The governor ordered the immediate confiscation of shops owned by traders who will not open up for businesses today.
He equally ordered for an immediate sack of civil servants who will not come to work today and called on security chiefs in the south east zone to deploy security officers to streets to avert breakdown of law and order.
Umahi made this known while addressing members of the All Progressive Congress, APC, stakeholder’s emergency meeting that took place at the ecumenical centre, Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital.
