Russia is home for me- Ahmed Musa

Nigeria’s two-goal hero against Iceland, Ahmed Musa has said that he feels very much at home in Russia, reports.

Musa, who was among Nigeria’s 2014 World Cup squad that crashed out in the Round of 16, scoring two goals against Argentina in a group stage match, said scoring again at the World Cup made him happy, noting that Russia feels like home after 6 years.

“I feel very happy coming back to the World Cup and getting another two goals. I feel very excited about breaking a record in the country. I always feel at home here in Russia. I have been here for six years so I am home Musa enthused.

The Leicester City forward, who recently completed a wonderful loan spell with his former Russian club, CSKA Moscow, admitted that the Argentina game would be a difficult one, whilst assuring that the team will give their best because the projected discord in the Argentine team is not the Super Eagles’ business.

“Everybody knows about the importance of the game and we know it’s a very difficult one but we are working very hard to see that at the end of the 90 minutes we will come out victorious.

“We don’t have to think about Argentina’s poor form. What we are thinking is just about our own game. We are focused on our own side. We are just going to the game knowing the importance of the game and we are going for all three points,” Musa concluded.
