More Abians have continued to react to the victory of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in the just concluded Governorship election held in the state.
Speaking to Correspondent Godwin Ike yesterday in Umuahia, the 17 Social Democratic party, SDP Local Government Area Chairmen in the State, who adopted Governor Ikpeazu as their Governorship candidate, congratulated the governor and everyone who joined hands to ensure that the re-election project was achieved.
The group led by the Isiala-Ngwa North SDP chairman, Chijioke Ozems, informed that the group had on Thursday last week suspended the state party chairman Chidi Nwosu and appointed Chukwudi Abenguwe as the caretaker chairman.
In his speech, Abenguwe, said SDP will no longer be for few persons but will have its full machinery at work and called on Governor Ikpeazu’s opponents in the election to exhibit maturity and accept the results, urging them to join hands with the governor in promoting peace and development in the state, as well as improve the welfare of Abians .
In another development the Special Assistant to the Governor on special duties, Erondu Erondu, said, the victory of Governor Ikeazu is a reflection of the wishes of Abians, because of his developmental strides in the state.
