President Buhari swears in members of the Code of Conduct Bureau

President Muhammadu Buhari has sworn in three members of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) and a member of Police Service Commission (PSC).

The event took place at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, yetserday, shortly before the commencement of the 30th virtual meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

Those sworn in include Ehiozuwa Ogbonayinma, Babatunde Balogun and Benedict Umeano for the CCB and Onyemuche Nnamani for the PSC.

Buhari’s aide, Bashir Ahmad, made this known in a tweet via his official Twitter page.

Meanwhile, the Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha and Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari physically attended the FEC meeting, which was the first for 2021.

Nine Ministers also joined the president at the chamber for the meeting.

The Federal Executive Council, yesterday approved a bill extending the retirement age for teachers in Nigeria from 60 years to 65 years.

Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, made this known to State House correspondents after the meeting.

The retirement age of teachers will move from 60 years to 65 while the years of service will also move from 35 to 40 if the bill is approved by the National Assembly.
