The Peoples’ Democratic Party has called on the Ruling All Progressives Congress to prepare to hand over power to it in 2019.
The National Chairman of the Party, Uche Secondus made this declaration during the flag off of the Party’s Presidential Campaign for the North-west in Sokoto, the Sokoto State Capital.
Mr Secondus insists the APC has failed the people of Nigeria, adding that the PDP was on a rescue mission with its candidate, Atiku Abubakar as a better option
Present at the event were the Flag bearer of the Party, Atiku Abubakar, his running mate, Peter Obi, Former President Goodluck Jonathan; Senate President Bukola Saraki, Speaker House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara
Others at the event were former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido; former governor of Kaduna State, Ahmed Makarfi; former governor of Niger State, Babangida Aliyu; former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwanso, Sokoto State governor Aminu Tambuwal, Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku
The campaign was moderated by the Senator representing Kogi west senatorial district, Dino Melaye, who was recently appointed as one of the heads of directorates for PDP Presidential Campaign Council.
