Peace Anyiam-Osigwe has said over 700 films were submitted for the 15th edition of the Africa Movie Academy Awards, AMAA.
In a media parley on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, Anyiam-Osigwe noted that the 15th edition has 26 different categories and at least 700 movies were submitted for possible nominations.
Speaking on the award ceremony, the entertainment executive said the year has been competitive as the continent keeps evolving in filmmaking.
The award ceremony founder also revealed that Steve Ayorinde returns as the Head of the governing council for the 5th year while Shaibu Husseini returns as the Head, College of Screeners and Asantewa Olatunji remains the Chairman of the Africa Movies Academy Award.
For the 2019 edition of AMAA, Anyiam-Osigwe disclosed that Funnybone, Kemi Lala Akindoju, and Lorenzo Menakaya will be co-hosting the show which is scheduled to hold at the Landmark events centre, Lagos, Nigeria.
