Abia State Governor, Okezie lkpeazu has congratulated the Abia State University Debating and Literary Society for winning National and International laurels for the School and projecting the image of the State positively.
lkpeazu who expressed his deepest appreciation when he received a delegation of the Abia State University Debating and Literary Society on a courtesy visit on him at the Exco Chambers, Government House, Umuahia, reiterated that their winning feat would go a long way to buttress and consolidate the fact that Abia State is doing extremely well and rank tops as far as education is concerned, having emerged first in all the exams conducted by WAEC for the last five years.
The Governor, represented by his Deputy Sir Ude Oko Chukwu further commended the students immensely for their commitment and all they have been able to achieve within a very short time and assured that government would go the extra mile to ensure that their Society and the University is given necessary support in terms of providing the needs of the Institution.
In their address, the Coach and Director of Abia State University Debating and Literary Society, Emmanuel Shebbs who disclosed that the ABSU Debating and Literary Society has broken global records with strong optimism to produce the best brains who will make evident, the positive narratives of the Governor’s education policy.
Those present include the Secretary to State Government, Chris Ezem, Permanent Secretaries and Special Advisers to the Governor.
