Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu says there has not been any issue of bank robbery for over 4 years in any part of the state because of the strong security architecture put in by his administration
The Governor who disclosed this to newsmen at the bouquet Hall Government House Umuahia after his first phase of project tour to many sites in various Local Government Areas of the State, informed that plans are presently on to install CCTV in strategic places in the state.
Governor Ikpeazu reiterated his resolve to complete all ongoing projects in the State in record time and appealed to Abians to be patient with his government in tackling the challenges bedeviling the state as he is taking his time to do quality Jobs
According to him, drainages for the triplet road construction of Port Harcourt Road, Uratta and Ngwa Roads in Aba are almost completed and main construction will begin immediately the rains abates.
On agriculture, the Governor said he will create small industries in each of the 17 LGA’s that are agriculture- base and would also establish oil palm mills, maintaining that he intends to create rice economy in Acha, Isuikwuato.
The Governor equally said that his administration is creating agro-industrial value chain in Umuahia with cassava processing plant, adding that starch would be produced and sold to pharmaceutical companies.
