Nigerians express confidence in Gernot Rohr lead Super Eagles


Former Super Eagles coach Austin Eguavoen is impressed with the quality of players Gernot Rohr has invited for the 2018 FIFA World Cup double header against Cameroon, and believes the team is good enough to beat the African champions in Uyo on September 1, reports.

Rohr on Tuesday officially released a list of players that will prosecute the two matches in Uyo on September 1 and Yaoundé on September 4 respectively.

In a related development, One-time Barcelona winger, Emmanuel Amuneke, is confident that the inclusion of some physically built experienced players with pace to the Super Eagles squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon next month is capable of exploiting the weaknesses of the reigning African champions and earned the needed results.

The Super Eagles must beat Cameroon in one of the two ties to strengthen their chances of qualifying for the Mundial in Russia.
