The Nigerian Army Council has approved the promotion of 74 senior officers to the ranks of Major General and Brigadier General respectively.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Acting Director, Army Public Relations Colonel Sagir Musa and made available to newsmen yesterday.
A total of thirty-one officers were promoted to the position of Major General, while another forty-three officers received promotion to the position of Brigadier General.
According to the statement, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen TY Buratai congratulated the beneficiaries and charged them to redouble their efforts in the discharge of their responsibilities.
