The Nigerian Air Force has launched an exercise named Operation Na Zo to help curb the activities of terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, cattle rustlers and other criminal elements in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State and some parts of neighbouring Zamfara and Niger States.

The operation was accompanied with a simulation exercise which involved the troops launching both air and ground attacks against the bandits inside the Kamuku forest who were said to have been terrorising residents of the three states.

Speaking during the launching of the operation on Monday, the Chief of Defense Staff, General Abayomi Olonisakin, said the essence of the training and exercise, was to achieve greater success in combat operations especially at a time when Nigeria was grappling with a lot of security challenges.
