Niger Delta Affairs Minister, Usani Usani, says he has not been suspended by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
On Friday after a meeting presided over by the APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, Usani, alongside other top members of the party, was suspended by the National Working Committee of the party, for alleged anti-party activities.
But addressing reporters in Calabar on Sunday, Usani who spoke through the Director General of his Governorship Campaign Organization, Ekpenyong Cobham, said he has not received any notification from any organ of the party regarding any form of suspension.
He urged the public to disregard reports of the suspension, saying it is intended to diminish the fortunes of the APC in the oncoming elections, as the status quo as per the last known declarative orders of the court upholds Usani’s candidacy.
