New Commissioner of Police in Abia State solicits cooperation of security agencies


The Commissioner, CP Ezike who has just been handed over duties of Policing in the state by the former Commissioner of Police, CP Anthony Ogbizi says he will ensure the sustenance of community policing just as he solicited the cooperation of security agencies and the public.

CP Ezike who stated his desire to hit the ground running immediately with a sensitization workshop next week, assured Abians of service to humanity, crime control, security management and intelligence gathering and appreciated CP Ogbizi who he said is leaving Abia better than he met it.

In his parting words, CP Ogbizi who expressed gratitude to the Inspector General of Police and the state government, advised the people of Abia not to expect less from the new Commissioner saying he has all it takes to ensure that Abia is crime free.

Our Correspondent Nnenna Gabriel reports that the new CP Chris Ezike who hails from Ogboji town in Orumba South L.G.A of Anambra State last served as a Commissioner of Police in charge of Community Policing, Department of Research and Planning, Force headquarters, Abuja from May 2018 to November 2018.
