The Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire has confirmed that indeed an aide to President Muhammadu Buhari has tested positive for the Coronavirus and was been treated at one of the facilities in the country.
He however did not disclose the identity of the patient.
Dr Ehanire was speaking at a news conference it the nation’s capital, Abuja, days after news went viral that the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari may have tested positive.
Aside the confirmation, the Minister also warned against self-medication and cautioned against the use of Chloroquine.
He stated that government was using test kits that are sanctioned by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
