Make use of the training acquired during your orientation course, Okezie Ikpeazu advise Corps members

Abia state Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has admonished Corps members in the state to make effective use of the training and knowledge acquired during their orientation course to overcome challenges and improve on the lots of their host communities

Governor Ikpeazu who stated this during the closing ceremony and terminal parade of the 2019 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 Orientation Course held at Umunna, Bende local government area on Monday, also urged them to imbibe the spirit of hard work and perseverance as these will keep them focused

The Governor, Represented by the Secretary to the state Government, Barr. Chris Ezem urged the youths to leverage on the scheme, as to contribute their own quota to the development of the state and nation through embarking on life touching community developmental projects.

He assured that his administration will continue to support the scheme by creating enabling environment and will appreciate outstanding Corps members who would go extra mile to embark on meaningful developmental projects

Earlier in her address, the state coordinator, National Youth Service Corps, Lady Bona Fasakin, said, a total of 2211 corps participants were deployed to Abia state and are now well equipped through the well-designed programs of paramilitary drills among other activities to advance into the second and third phase of the one year service and to contribute their quota to the socio- economic development of the State.
