Joke Silva has lost her younger sister, Bisi Silva to the cold hands of death after battling cancer.
Bisi Silva died on Tuesday, in Lagos after a protracted battle with cancer.
Even though Joke Silva is yet to release any statement about the death of her sister, she took to her Instagram page where she posted a photo of her sister with the caption “Thou mastering me God…”
Bisi Silva, is the founder and Artistic Director of the Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA).
She opened CCA in 2007 and later Asiko International Art School in Lagos. After her first degree in Foreign Languages in Paris, she earned her two-year MA in Visual Arts(Curating and Commissioning of Contemporary Art) at the Royal College of Art in London.
The deceased also curated numerous important exhibitions in Nigeria, Africa, and Europe.
