The suspended PDP Chairman Abia State, Johnson Onuigbo says the enemy wanted to disrupt the peace the party is enjoying in the state, hence the attempt to suspend him as the state party chairman over the weekend.
In an interaction with journalists in Umuahia after what could be termed reconciliatory meeting with his executive, Onuigbo who pointed that there is no division in the party, noted that the party is back under his chairmanship.
He informed that Abia PDP has settled its differences and the party remains intact as one family.
Chief Onuigbo who stated that the party is set for the elections reiterated its resolve to conduct a free, fair, credible and verifiable elections and have a resounding victory for Dr Okezie Ikpeazu in 2019.
Also speaking, the Abia North zonal chairman of the party and a former house member, Hon Mathew Ibe assured the people that the party is intact and that they will retract the communiqué as signed earlier which purportedly suspended the state PDP Chairman.
