Jigawa State begin collection of samples of over 600 Almajiris returned from Kano

The Jigawa State government has begun the collection of samples of over 600 Almajiris who returned from Kano State recently.

According to the government, the collected samples are to be tested for coronavirus (COVID-19) at a private laboratory accredited by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

Following their arrival in Jigawa, the children were isolated at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) camp in Kiyawa Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking to the newsmen, the state commissioner for health, Abba Zakari said the results of the test are expected in two days.
