Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to partner with financial institutions to promote made in Aba goods

Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has promised to partner with some financial institutions in the state in the promotion of made in Aba goods and products.

Dr Ikpeazu was speaking yesterday when he received in audience, the management of a commercial bank in the state led by its Executive Director, Mr Emmanuel Emefinim at the Government house, Umuahia.

According to him, he was excited that the bank was keying into the State government’s Initiative. He reiterated that his administration’s commitment to the Made In Aba project was unwavering and charged the bank to support the move.

Earlier, the Executive Director of the commercial Bank, Mr. Emmanuel Emefinim, stated the readiness of the bank to partner the State in the production of local products, starting with shoe making.

He disclosed that the bank is already in touch with the Kano State government and local producers of leather to get the best quality leather as raw materials for the Aba leather cluster.
