Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has described this year 2020 as a year of sober reflection for all Nigerians and enjoined Christians to live an upright life and be ready to answer the divine call when the time comes.
Ikpeazu made this remark during a funeral service in honor of the former Peoples Democratic Party State Chairman, Sir Johnson Onuigbo who was laid to rest in his Umuobasi Ugba-Ibeku country home in Umuahia North LGA.
According to the Governor, the demise of Sir Onuigbo would not just be felt by his family alone but by all those who loved him including the PDP family, the State Government, people of Ibeku and the State at large.
He prayed that 2021 would be better.
Delivering a sermon titled, “Do Not Be Foolish”, the Anglican Bishop of Umuahia, Rt. Rev Geoffrey Ibeabuchi described foolishness as lack of discernment and reasoning.
He noted that foolish men are known for their evil deeds, non-fulfillment of vows and disobedience to instructions.
According to the Bishop, the will of God is the salvation of humanity which is found only in Christ Jesus and thereby called on Christians to surrender their lives to God.
