Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has assured that the 9.2 kilometer Umunkpei-Amaiyi-Umuehi-Umuro road he is constructing in Isialangwa South Local Government Area and other roads awarded in the area would be completed by him in no distance time.
Governor Ikpeazu gave the assurance while speaking at the 18 year Anniversary and Award Presentation Ceremony of the United Evangelical Church, Amaiyi Superintendency, in Nvosi, Isialangwa South.
The Governor, who spoke through his Executive Assistant, Elder John Nwangborogwu made it clear that his decision to build roads and other projects in Amaiyi and adjourning communities was in line with the biblical injunction of being magnanimous in victory and informed that other roads in the area have also been earmarked for construction.
He charged the church members to remain resolute in their support for his administration, saying that he needs their support to enable him consolidate on his achievements, urging them to use the anniversary to preach peace and development of Abia State.
Governor Ikpeazu, who solicited the continuous prayers of the church for the unity of Nigeria as well as peace and progress of his administration, also made cash donations in support for the church projects.
Speaking, the Chairman on the occasion and Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the Deputy Governor, Dr. Chris Nwagboso stressed the need for churches to support the government of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu as the church does not exist in isolation of government.
He called on the people to obtain their PVCs and ensure they give the Governor and PDP bloc votes in the forthcoming 2019 election.
