The Federal government has appealed to Nigerians in the diaspora to return home and seize the various economic opportunities to make billions of naira.
Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, made the call at an investment forum organized by his ministry, in New York, for Nigerians in the United States.
He said one of the agencies under the ministry was already working on a cure for epilepsy and was only awaiting the final stages of trials by the National Agency for Food Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC).
He also said the speed limiting device being manufactured in Nigeria is better and cheaper than the imported ones.
The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) began the enforcement of the installation of the device in commercial vehicles in February.
Onu however, said that the Federal Government wanted Nigerian investors, particularly those in the Diaspora, to now take the research product and commercialize it.
The minister regretted pressure on the Naira, saying the currency had been fallen because the country depended too much on imported commodities.
