Enyimba captain Austin Oladapo says he is confident the People’s Elephant will qualify from a ‘difficult’ Group A of the 2020/21 CAF Confederation Cup, which has three former African champions.
Enyimba, winners of the CAF Champions League in 2003 and 2004, where on Monday placed in Group A of the competition alongside fellow former African champions Entente Setif of Algeria and South African side Orlando Pirates, as well as, Libyan outfit Al Ahly Benghazi, in what many have described as the ‘group of death’.
In a chat with Magic FM after the draws, which took place at CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, the Enyimba skipper said the team was excited with the draw, adding that they have the quality to make it out of the group.
Fatai Osho’s men will open their campaign in the group stage of the competition with a home tie against Al Ahly Benghazi on 10th March, 2021, before facing Orlando Pirates and Entente Setif.
