Enugu Police Command calls for information to arrest a suspect, Chijioke Okenwa, for alleged murder of a monarch


The Enugu Police Command on Thursday called on the Nigerians for information that would lead to the arrest of a suspect, one Chijioke Okenwa and his cohorts alleged to be involved in the murder of a monarch.

The traditional ruler of Ogbozine Akpugo, in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State, Igwe Nwatu was murdered on Monday by gunmen.

The command’s Spokesman, SP Ebere Amaraizu, said a warrant of arrest had been issued against suspects,Okenwa and his gang.

According to him, Okenwa (48) with an average height, dark in complexion, hails from Ogboezinne Autonomous community of Akpugo.

The command is advising members of the public with useful information about how the suspect can be traced, to report to any nearby police station.

Amaraizu added that besides those being searched for, the command had nabbed some other suspects who were helping the police operatives in their investigations.
