#EndSARS protesters continue today, lay siege on the Lekki toll gate

By magic

October 14, 2020

#EndSARS protesters today remained adamant, laying siege on the Lekki toll gate along the Lekki-Epe Expressway.

They stormed the Lekki Toll Gate section of the Lekki-Epe Expressway despite heavy downpours.

They grounded vehicular traffic along the expressway, chanting “End SARS, END SWAT”,” End Police Brutality”

Several residents plying the toll gate were forced to return home because of the girdlock.

In Abuja, the protest continued as protesters used vehicles to block motorists at Berger roundabout in Abuja chanting ‘end police brutality’.

This paralysed vehicular traffic in the area as impatient motorists made U-turn to avoid getting caught up in the resultant gridlock.

Similarly, hundreds of #EndSARS protesters again took to major roads of Warri and Effurun in Delta continue opposition to the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) and the newly created Special Weapons and Tactics unit.

The youths, who caused heavy traffic along the Effurun-Sapele Road and Deco Road in Uvwie and Warri South council areas of the state, demanded total overhaul of the Police.

They bore placards with inscriptions such as “End Police Brutality,” Stop Killing Us,” End SWAT, End SARS,” We said EndSARS, not change them,” among others.
