EFCC to begin prosecution of corrupt law enforcement agencies

November 04, 2019

After decades of beaming its searchlight on politically exposed persons and those in the private sector, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), say it will now investigate corruption among law enforcement agencies.

Acting chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, who dropped the hint in Abuja while speaking with newsmen, said the commission was investigating allegation of corruption in the civil service.

He stated that it was not only the EFCC, the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), the Department of State Service (DSS) and the Police that were saddled with the responsibility of fighting corruption in the country.
