Christians advised to pray for a peaceful and credible general elections devoid of violence

Christians have been charged to pray fervently for a peaceful credible general elections devoid of violence that may lead to loss of lives and property in Nigeria.

Abia State Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu who gave this charge at All Souls Military Church (PROT) HQ 14 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Barracks Ohafia yesterday, noted that with the persistent prayers of Christians, Nigerians will witness a peaceful and credible election that will usher in selfless and patriotic leaders that will rule the country with the fear of God.

Governor Ikpeazu represented by his Deputy Sir Ude Oko Chukwu used the occasion to commend the military for their sacrifices in the course of protecting the territorial integrity of the nation and assured them of Government continuous support to achieve the objective.

Earlier in his sermon, Major (Rev) A  E Adamu, stressed the need for Christians to believe and have faith in God who is able to make the impossible possible and prayed  God for a peaceful credible general elections that will usher in leaders that have the interest of the citizens at heart.
