Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has identified Mohamed Elneny as one of the most important players in his squad.
Arteta said this during his pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League tie with Manchester United on Saturday at Emirates Stadium.
The Spaniard described Elneny as a phenomenal person who sometimes doesn’t get the credit that he deserves.
Arteta said: “I will say that for me, he [Elneny] is one of the most important players in the squad, for what he does when you give him the chance to play and for the things that he does when he doesn’t play.
“It’s a phenomenal person and then you have to judge the footballer as well, who sometimes doesn’t get probably the credit that he deserves.”
