All Progressives Congress Abia State chapter has formally handed over and inaugurated the newly elected State Executives of the party led by a former member of House of Representatives Hon. Iheanacho Obioma as Chairman
Speaking during the Inauguration held at the Party’s Secretariat, Azikiwe Road Umuahia, the outgoing State Chairman, Hon Donatus Nwankpa, charged the New Executives to ensure they work in unity to produce the next Governor of Abia State come 2023.
According to Nwankpa, the emergency of Acho Obioma as the State Chairman marks the beginning of a new era in Abia APC. He pointed that the party cannot be hijacked by one man who had refused to summit himself to the leadership of the party.

On his part, the State Publicity Secretary, Mr Mike Ozoemena, informed that Acho Obioma remains the authentic State chairman of APC, while the official Party’s State Secretariat remains No. 38 Azikwe road Umuahia. He condemned the attempt of the National Caretaker Committee to give the party to a suspended member in the state, noting that Abia APC is not a one man’s business.
In an acceptance speech, the new State Chairman, Hon Iheanacho Obioma, lauded members of the party for counting him worthy to serve, pointing out that he would do the job to the best of his ability. He urged members of the party to hold regular meeting at the ward and Local Government levels so as to strengthen their growth
