Abia State would soon be less dependent on Federal allocation

The Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly Rt. Hon.Chikwendu Kalu has promised Abians that Abia state would soon be less dependent on Federal allocation to meet its financial obligations.

He made this statement while receiving the executive body of the Abia state chapter of the Nigeria Institute of public affairs, who came to pay him a courtesy call in his office yesterday, 20th April 2017.

In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Hon Speaker, Okey Chikwendu, the speaker pointed out that with the rate the Governor of the state Okezie Ikpeazu is attracting foreign investments, especially with the signing of the deal worth $1.5b with Haujian Shoe Industry in Guangzhou China to establish a shoe factory in Aba the commercial nerve center of Abia state, the state would soon have enough to invest more on infrastructural and human development as well as providing employment for our unemployed youth.

He reiterated this administrations resolve to impact positively on the lives of its citizens and promised that the House of Assembly would do its part in ensuring that the people reap the dividends of democracy.
