Abia State N-Power Focal Person and an aide to the Abia State Governor on Social Investment, Chinenye Nwogu has exonerated himself and the State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu from a video trending online of an alleged fake election result in favor of PDP and found in the custody of one of the N-POWER beneficiaries in the State.

Nwogu who briefed newsmen at the Government House yesterday in Umuahia, informed that the N-POWER beneficiary Felix Obisike who was beaten mercilessly, came in honor of a purported SMS sent by some faceless people impersonating the office of the president inviting all N-power beneficiaries in the State for a head count at Item street which happens to be the office of the APC gubernatorial candidate campaign office, Uche Ogah.

According to Nwogu, at the point the test message circulated, he countered the purported SMS through radio announcement but Obisike and one Gaius who were N-POWER ambassadors were unlucky when they visited the venue of the meeting and were tortured, as well as forced at gun point to indict him and Governor Ikpeazu to deliver the written election result sheets.

Nwogu also revealed that he invited the DSS to rescue Obisike who is now receiving treatment at DSS custody and therefore called on the security agents to investigate the alleged venue where Obisike was interrogated, stressing that N-power focal persons agreed not to yield social investment beneficiaries to support any political party.

Correspondent Godwin Ike who was at the briefing reports that Nwogu was accompanied by the state information commissioner, John Okiyi Kalu.
