The newly appointed commissioner for Youth Development, comrade Danny Ubani and the 17 transition committee chairmen and their deputies have been sworn-in.
Speaking during the swearing in ceremony, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu charged the chairmen to make the security of lives and property paramount in their LGAs by liaising with the security agencies in their domain
The Governor said their presence has closed the vacuum that has existed in the LGAs, adding that their coming on board at this time is very auspicious as it is only few days to the general elections.
In their responses, the Commissioner for Youth Development Comrade Danny Ubani and the Transaction Chairman of Aba North, Chief Charles Esonu appreciated the Governor for appointing them. They pledged their unalloyed support for the Governor and promised not to disappoint the government and people of Abia State
Correspondent Godwin Ike reports that the deputy Governor Sir Ude Oko Chukwu and other top Government functionaries were present at the event.
