Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has described women as heroines of peace and pillars of the home.
Governor Ikpeazu stated this in a message to Abia mothers while felicitating with them on the occasion of Mothers’ Day.
The Governor extolled the virtues of Abia mothers attributing the relative peace experienced in the state to the important roles played by mothers in their respective homes, particularly in the upbringing of their children which has had a wholesome effect on their lives.
He added that every peaceful society stems from the love and care of mothers.
The governor on behalf of the state government wished Abian mothers good health, knowledge and wisdom.
