Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu calls for special consideration for areas devastated by the civil war in the South East


In commemoration of the 50th anniversary to mark the end of Nigeria civil war, Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has called for a special consideration for areas that are devastated by the civil war in the South East region.

Delivering his speech at the special town hall meeting held on Monday at the National war Museum Umuahia and organized by the Ken Nnamani Center for Leadership and Development, the Governor who recalled his experiences at the Nigeria-Biafra war, regretted that the scars and relics of the war would be difficult to heal.

Meanwhile Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has called on all to spur the younger generation into taking opportunities available in the country other than being distracted by the biases of the past. 

He said this in Umuahia, during a special town hall meeting organized by Ken Nnamani Centre for Leadership and Development in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the end of Nigerian Civil War.
