Civil servants in Abia State have been admonished to imbibe the principles and laws guiding the civil service rules and regulations while discharging their duties.
The permanent secretary, Government house Umuahia, Elder O.C Aguwa made this known yesterday on the occasion of a three day in-house training and retraining of staff of the Government house, Umuahia beginning from 18th to 20th September 2019.
Elder Aguwa who noted that following the persistent attitude of the workers in late coming to work, indecent dressing, loitering during office hours, low output to work and absenteeism from duties among others, it became imperative to organize the training program.
Declaring the event open, the Head of service, Sir Onyii Nwamah, represented by the permanent secretary, Bureau of establishment and pensions, Mr. Okey Ihedioha, appreciated the members of staff who participated in the training program, assuring that the state Government would continue to reposition the civil servants through constant training and retraining to meet the civil service standard.
