Abia Police Command nabs eighteen suspected hoodlums, looters

The Abia State Police command has arrested eighteen suspects in connection with attacks and destruction of properties during the hijacked EndSars protest in the state.

Addressing the press in Umuahia, the Commissioner of Police, Janet Agbede said her command also recovered one FNC rifle with 12 rounds of live ammunition and other weapons.

Agbede who listed the areas attacked by the looters, to include five banks in Aba, two courts among others, warned other perpetrators who are still in the state to desist from the act or face the full wrath of the law.

The Police Commissioner also debunked the rumour that the Fulanis in the state are grouping for an attack on the people of the state.

Correspondent Nnenna Gabriel reports that the suspects are expected to be charged to court after investigations by the police.
