The State commissioner for information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu says Abia is among the states making progress in the country, maintaining that no particular part of people in the state has hijacked the state’s resources as alleged by some individuals.
Chief Kalu who stated this today at his office in Umuahia while interacting with our Correspondents Godwin Ike and Nnenna Gabriel, expressed confidence that the target set of projects to be achieved within the first one hundred days of Governor Ikpeazu’s second term in office would be achieved, while he urged contractors handling the roads in the state to deliver on their own side of the bargain.
The commissioner also wondered why some people in the state would take pride in spreading false rumors recently alleging that the state Governor Okezie Ikpeazu is not healthy, describing such statement as malicious and unfortunate.
On why the state Governor is yet to fully constitute members of his cabinet, he informed that the state house of assembly is currently on recess, adding that the Governor is ready to do the needful as soon as the house resumes while he assured Ndi-Abia that the Governor would take his time to select the best people who would work in his cabinet.
