Abia based socio-political association dissociates itself from activities of discord amongst the Peoples Democratic Party family


Members of a socio political association, Ohafia local government Progressive Assembly has dissociated themselves from every clannish acts aimed at sowing seed of discord and disaffection that tend to undermine the Peoples Democracy Party (PDP) family.

In a 10 Point Communiqué issued at the end of a meeting at the residence of the Deputy Chief of staff to the governor, Ukpai Agwu Ukpai, they also condemned every anti party activity among members.

Presenting the communiqué on behalf of the forum, Ukpai Ukairo reaffirmed their support and endorsement of the governor Okezie Ikpeazu and his deputy, Ude Oko Chukwu for their future political aspiration and maintained that every unwarranted attack on the office and personality of the deputy governor would not only be viewed as an attack on the government of Abia state but would not be tolerated.

They lauded the success recorded in the ongoing voter’s registration exercise in the area and urged residents of the local government area to take advantage of the two weeks extension by INEC to register more members.

Earlier in their remarks, the deputy chief of staff to the governor, Ukpai, the member representing Ohafia North state constituency, Mandela Obasi, and Ukairo, all stressed the need for leaders at various levels in the party to jettison the pull him down syndrome and unite in love to work towards the success of the party in the forth coming elections in 2019 general elections.
