Nkem Okoro led faction of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, (APGA) in Abia state says the leadership of the party has discovered plots by former Party executives led by Augustine Ehiemere to frustrate its Governorship candidate Dr. Alex Otti at the ongoing Governorship Tribunal.
In a news conference at the party’s Secretariat in Umuahia, the State chairman of the party, Nkem Okoro, accused those he called the former party executives of planning to withdraw APGA from the ongoing Governorship case at the tribunal
According to him, those who turned against Dr. Alex Otti accused him of nursing the ambition of running for the position of National Chairman of APGA and in their panic deployed some agents who announced that Alex Otti had been suspended from the party.
Okoro said the last Governorship primaries of the party witnessed its lowest point since its formation in Abia, Imo and Anambra due to the criminal extortion committed by their former National leadership led by its Chairman Chief Victor Oye who according to him, has also remained a regular visitor to the Economic and Financial crimes Commission (EFCC)
